The Casino is very smoky and the slots do you pay well but they do have $5 table games in the evening which we played at for a while. We ate the steakhouse on property and the meal there was exceptional! I will say that the casino is not the best we have played at but that was not the main reason for our trip.

There were also two very nice hot tubs on property as well along with free valet parking. While we did not get to play golf because of the weather the golf course is very nice and is the best one in the local area as it is state of the art. The rooms are nice and modern with nice amenities like a flat screen T.V.

The hotel has a lodge look and feel with lots of wood and high beams, limestone rock and marble floors. Located about 20 miles north of Topeka this is a great place to kick-back and relax, gamble a little and golf when Vegas just seems too far away. We will be back for sure if we get another great deal(normal rack rate is a bit steep). We stayed here for a weekend getaway as part of an auction prize at a fundraiser.

If you are expecting a Vegas- style time you will be disappointed, but if you remember you are indeed in Kansas "with Toto and Dorathy" this will be a fun alternative to bowling or another movie night. Over all we had a good experience with the hotel, and the service, but nothing I would classify above average.

There were no instructions for the TV in the room and we had to call the front desk to break the code on: keyboards, analog, digital, cable/ satellite.etc. I was not disturbed during my entire nights sleep. In spite of being right next to the ice machine and the elevator. The hotel room was similar to a smokers version of a comfort suites or Super8 without the free breakfast, however they were super quiet. People will eat what is convenient even if it is more. The food prices reflect the fact that they are the only game in town. The Buffet was not our first choice, but was a good alternative to a two hour wait for overpriced steak. Definately call in a reservation if you are planning to eat there. The resturants were very crowded, and waits for the steak house were nearly two hours. The outdoor hot-tub area was well done and seemed like a good pace to hang out although we did not actually get ine tubs. We had a good experience in the casino, albiet it overcrowded and hard to get access to machines, tables, and even the resturant without long waits. The hotel itself was pretty smokey, and the non-smoking parts of the hotel could be compared to the no-peeing area of the kiddie pool. We checked in on a Saturday afternoon and were impressed with the free valet parking, and prompt service at the front desk. There were no instructions for the TV in the room and we had to call the front desk to break the code on: keyboards.
